Customs: tariff number 3206 50 00

The safety data sheet gives the customs tariff number 3206 50 00 – inorganic products of a kind used as luminophores. This makes the import declaration easier.

Note for importersThe tariff classification is ultimately decided by the competent customs authority in the country of import. The information in the safety data sheet is guidance, not binding tariff information.

Storage

  • Keep containers tightly closed.
  • Store cool, dry and well ventilated.
  • Protect from frost, heat, moisture and UV radiation.
  • Keep away from strong oxidising and reducing agents, acids and alkalis.
  • Storage class 10–13 according to German TRGS 510.
  • Shelf life more than 24 months.

Once processed, the pigment is hydrolysis-resistant thanks to its SiO₂ coating. The storage instructions refer to the loose powder in its container.

Water and environment

The material is not hazardous to water (German AwSV, ID no. 1957). It is inorganic, insoluble in water and other solvents, and not biodegradable.

Disposal

Waste code 06 03 14 (solid salts and solutions), packaging 15 01 06.

Handling in production

When handling large quantities of powder, avoid dust formation and extract dust at source. Dust goggles are recommended and – if the limit value is exceeded – respiratory protection with a P2/P3 particle filter. The general dust limit according to German TRGS 900 applies.

All information is taken from our safety data sheet (revision 2.0 of 29 September 2025). The full document is always authoritative – the summary and the PDFs in English and German are available under downloads.
